Starkville is Growing and Progressing
SUMMARY: Starkville, Miss., is experiencing growth, which comes with challenges. According to city engineer Cody Burnett, the limited staff and resources make managing the municipality's growth difficult. The three-member engineering team is currently handling over a dozen projects, with the Highway 182 Build Project being a significant focus. This project aims to enhance infrastructure to encourage economic development, including new roads, sidewalks, ADA-compliant features, bike lanes, and street trees. Burnett advises patience during construction, as it will lead to long-term improvements. A complete list of ongoing initiatives can be found on the city's website. Follow WCBI for continuous updates.
