Starkville hires Anthony Carlyle as head boys basketball coach

SUMMARY: Anthony Carlyle has been named the new Head Coach for Yellow Jacket Boys Basketball at Starkville Oktibbeha School District. With over fifteen years of coaching experience and six state championships, Carlyle brings a proven track record of success. He has coached notable players and achieved multiple coaching awards. Carlyle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health/Physical Education, a Masters of Education, and a Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership. He will officially join the Yellow Jacket staff in July and is excited to contribute to the success of the SHS program. Carlyle credits his father, legendary basketball coach Archie Carlyle, for teaching him the value of hard work and building relationships.
