Starkville boys basketball downs Oxford in first round of 7A playoffs

Mississippi governor signs law enforcement bills

Bond denied for woman charged in Macon murder investigation
SUMMARY: Bond was denied for Ciara Sharda Latham, who is charged with aggravated domestic violence and murder following a fatal shooting in Macon, Mississippi. Latham allegedly shot and killed Breanna Alexus Franklin early Saturday morning at around 2 a.m. on Pearl Street. Macon police reported that a vehicle drove up next to a car and fired a shot through the passenger side window, killing Franklin at the scene. West Point neighborhood festival takes home state award
