Southeastern conference officials ready to start season
SUMMARY: Changes are happening in college football conferences, with the Southeastern Conference (SEC) set to welcome Texas and Oklahoma for the 2023-2024 season. S.E.C replay official Stan Murray discussed football changes at a recent event, highlighting the importance of catch vs. no catch and targeting on replay. Murray also mentioned that travel is easier for officials in the SEC due to the regional nature of the conference. Despite changes in teams and conferences, Murray’s focus remains on the game itself. College football season begins on August 26, with Mississippi State and Ole Miss playing their first games on September 2, 2023.
