Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite to perform at 2025 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
SUMMARY: Alcorn State University‘s Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite band has been chosen to perform at the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, marking their first appearance in this iconic event. Selected from over 100 applicants, they are one of only nine bands accepted for the 99th edition of the parade. Macy’s associate producer, Sara Flores, praised their dynamic sound during auditions. Dr. Everson Martin, Director of Bands, expressed excitement for this major opportunity for the university and Mississippi. One injured after shots fired into Jackson home
