SUMMARY: Moss Point Mayor Billy Knight has warned residents that fake letters appearing to be from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) are circulating. He stated that neither the Governor nor the President has declared Moss Point a disaster area following a tornado in June. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is currently processing disaster area declarations, which requires FEMA validation before assistance request can be sent to the federal government. Only when signed off by the governor and president will Moss Point be eligible for aid.

Transit Service Schedule for Spring Break Weekend: April 11 – 13, 2025

SUMMARY: Expect significant delays on Coast Transit Authority (CTA) fixed routes from April 11-14, 2025, due to Spring Break traffic on Highway 90 and Pass Road. A temporary Express Route will operate nonstop between Gulfport and Biloxi Transit Centers via I-10, starting April 11 at 1:00 p.m., with departures every 45 minutes until 7:45 p.m. The Beachcomber will have limited service, ending early on Friday and having no service on Saturday and Sunday.
