Social media 'predator catchers' arrested in Mississippi
SUMMARY: Three vloggers, part of a group called the Onsite Predator Task Force, were arrested in South Haven while attempting to expose a man they believed to be a pedophile. They had posed as a 15-year-old girl and confronted him in a Kroger store, live-streaming the incident. After an off-camera altercation, during which one vlogger reportedly slapped the man, police intervened. The vloggers face charges including conspiracy to commit a crime and simple assault. They are seeking to have the charges dropped but remain committed to their mission of exposing predators. An ongoing investigation by police limits available details.

8-year-old dies after accidental shooting in East Nashville
SUMMARY: An 8-year-old boy in East Nashville has died from injuries sustained in an accidental shooting. He was playing with a loaded shotgun he found in his grandmother’s attic while a 10-year-old and a 16-year-old were present. Attempts to save him were unsuccessful. The incident occurred around 9 PM, highlighting a troubling trend of accidental shootings in Tennessee, with over a dozen reported this year. Although there are no state laws mandating gun storage practices, experts advocate for secure storage to prevent such tragedies. The Metro Health Department and police are offering free gun locks to promote safety.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) responded to a shooting involving multiple children on Saturday night.
