Soaring rural property values in Middle TN
SUMMARY: Property values in the greater Nashville area and surrounding rural counties have risen due to increased demand, driven by remote work trends. In Davidson County, the average price of a single-family home is about $500,000, up from last year. Rural counties like Murray and Cheatham are seeing prices around $430,000 and $400,000, respectively. Many adults aged 25 to 44 are relocating from larger job centers to more affordable areas with no state income tax, seeking better living conditions, such as having a yard or a larger home. This trend has been notable since the pandemic.
