Becoming a respiratory therapist only takes two years of education and offers a dynamic and intense career. They handle conditions like asthma and are responsible for keeping alive during critical situations. Despite often being portrayed differently on TV, respiratory therapists are the ones operating -saving equipment in real hospitals. To enroll in a Respiratory Care Tech program, prerequisite courses in anatomy, physiology, and algebra are required. The profession is projected to grow by 23% until 2030, with an average salary of over $60,000 per year.

Perry County School District sees rank bump up a grade

Federal funding to help Lamar, Perry counties bolster law enforcement staffs
