Six teens accused of leading Byram police on chase

SUMMARY: Six teenagers in Byram, Mississippi led police on a chase early one Sunday morning. The chase started when officers tried to stop a Nissan Altima with a dealership paper tag on Siwell Road. The driver fled towards Terry Road at high speed. The chase ended on Gary Road when the car hit a fire hydrant in a residential lawn. Two teens were arrested at the scene, while the other four turned themselves in later. The driver, a juvenile, was charged with felony fleeing and other traffic violations. The vehicle turned out to belong to the juvenile’s parents and was driven from Brandon to Byram.
