'Situation under control': 3 Sevier County brush fires contained; no injuries or damage reported

Fortunately, no one was home during the incident, and there were no injuries, though the home was destroyed. In Sevier County, wildfires are now fully contained, but officials warn that they may continue burning for days. One fire at Shagbark consumed over 80 acres. Weather conditions, including high winds and low humidity, exacerbated the fires. Residents are advised to avoid outdoor burning due to ongoing dry conditions, although rain is expected next week.
An 81-acre fire in Walden’s Creek led to dozens of evacuations in the Overholt Trail area.
