SUMMARY: I was extremely nervous but proud. Coach Silver hugged me, and I nearly lost it. We’ve wanted this for a while and finally achieved it, winning three years in a row, which is incredibly tough. The feeling we have now should motivate us for next year. I’m upset and disappointed mainly because I won’t be with the same group of guys. Every day was exciting, and I’d give my life for them, as they would for me. It’s different at RI—they don’t understand. I thank God for this special squad; they surpassed expectations not just on the field but as leaders and men. I’m immensely proud.

High school baseball season ended over the weekend. The MHSAA championship series wrapped up Saturday. Here’s a look at the sights and sounds of those final moments.
