Over 1,400 grams of ecstasy pills were found during the stop, possibly laced with fentanyl. The deputy experienced symptoms such as high blood pressure and headaches after inhaling airborne particles of the drug. Sheriff Eddie Scott emphasized the dangers of handling drugs during traffic stops, highlighting the risks to officers and citizens. In a separate development, one of the brothers involved in the drug case was charged with driving a stolen vehicle, increasing his bond to over $60,000. The stolen vehicle, an orange Camaro, was seized by the deputy.

Tupelo waiting on Target to make decision on new store
