SHERIFF: man arrested for shooting, woman arrested for cocaine possession

SUMMARY: Thursday morning, a shooting in Stone County resulted in one person hospitalized and suspect Richard Atkinson arrested on aggravated assault charges. The incident occurred at Atkinson’s home, prompting a search for him. During the investigation, deputies encountered Charletta McGee, 34, who was found with nine grams of cocaine and had active warrants. McGee now faces drug charges. There is currently no update on the shooting victim’s condition.
