Several north Mississippi high school teams returning as champions from Jackson

SUMMARY: Today is the final day of the high school state basketball championships in North Mississippi. Jason Williams is reporting live on the first championship game between Tupelo Golden Wave and Germantown Mavericks. Earlier, Tishomingo County Lady Braves won the 4A girl state championship against Morton High School Panthers. The Lady Braves dominated the game, winning 37-17 and securing their first program title. Coach Brian Middleton expressed relief and gratitude for the community’s support. Tupelo Golden Wave currently leads the Mavericks 8-4 in the ongoing game. Williams will have highlights at 10 p.m. tonight. Congrats to the Lady Braves on their victory.

Saturday is the third and final day of the high school basketball state championships.
