Several law enforcement officers in Tupelo fitted for custom body armor
SUMMARY: Law enforcement officers in Mississippi have been fitted for custom body armor purchased with proceeds from a recent 5K event organized by the “Wives of Warriors” group. The group, made up of wives of police officers, supports and helps those who protect and serve. The officers, who come from small departments with limited funding, expressed gratitude for the vests, and emphasized the importance of staying safe in a time when there is a lack of respect for law enforcement. The vests are expected to be delivered in about a month.
