Service through faith is mission of new thrift store in Baldwyn
SUMMARY: The Remnant Thrift Store recently opened in Baldwin, selling clothing, shoes, kitchen items, and books for men, women, and children. Proceeds from the store will fund the construction of a new Life Center at Fanny Fanning the Flames Ministries on Ripley Road. The center will provide warm and cooling shelters and sleep accommodations for the unhoused during extreme weather. Store manager Jeie Barnett was inspired by her faith to help those in need, especially during winter when many were left on the streets. The city aims to open the Life Center next year.

Tupelo seminar addresses youth violence
