Serengeti Springs water park officially opens to the public

SUMMARY: The Serengeti Springs water park has officially opened to the public in Hattiesburg, adjacent to the Hattiesburg Zoo. Initially announced in August 2022, the park’s launch was delayed due to rain and supply chain issues. Now open, the park features the Fusion Fortress with nine slides, including the “Serengeti Swirl.” Additional attractions include a Lazy River, multiple water-play areas, two water bucket dump stations, 19 spray toys, restrooms with changing rooms, a swim-up pool and bar, and food trucks. Bricen Rivers pleads not guilty to murder of ex-girlfriend Lauren Johansen
