St. Patrick Catholic High teacher collects Christmas toys for St. Jude in honor of her daughter
SUMMARY: Jenna Faragut, whose daughter Ariana succumbed to an atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor, initiated a Christmas toy drive to honor her memory and bring joy to children at St. Jude’s, where they spent holidays during treatment. Over the past four years, the drive has grown significantly; this year, over 1,000 toys were collected, surpassing her initial goal of 500. The community, including local schools and organizations, has shown immense support. Faragut collaborates with families who have faced similar losses to transport the toys to St. Jude in Memphis. Donations are still accepted at the Women’s Resource Center.

Poplarville is State Championship bound after defeating Forest 24-21

Coast firefighters compete to raise funds for the Salvation Army
SUMMARY: During Red Kettle Challenge Week, firefighters across the coast are competing to raise the most money for the Salvation Army. At the Pass Christian Walmart, local firefighters have raised over $200 in just an hour. The Red Kettle campaign is the Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser, supporting programs that help feed the homeless and families in need. With an increase in demand for assistance, donations are crucial. The Pass Christian Fire Department will continue collecting until 5:00 p.m., and donations can also be made via QR codes or online at MSCoast.org.
It’s Red Kettle Challenge week and Coast firefighters are ringing bells to help raise money for the Salvation Army.
