SBA Business Recovery Centers Closing Permanently on Oct. 12
SUMMARY: The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is closing its Business Recovery Centers at Moss Point City Hall, Jackson County, and the Community Center Missionary Baptist Church, Jasper County, on October 12. The centers were opened to assist businesses and residents suffering losses from severe storms, winds, and tornadoes that occurred from June 14-19, 2023. The centers provide services such as answering questions, help with applying for an SBA Disaster Loan, checking application status, and assistance in completing reconsideration requests. Interest rates are as low as 4% for businesses, 2.375% for nonprofits, and 2.5% for homeowners and renters.

Man accused of killing Biloxi Officer Robert McKeithen committed indefinitely to Mississippi State Hospital

WXXV-TV mourns the loss of Morris Multimedia COO Bobby Berry
SUMMARY: Morris Multimedia Inc. announced the sudden passing of Chief Operating Officer Bobby Berry on March 19, 2025. Berry started in radio before joining WCBI-TV in 1987, becoming General Sales Manager in 1999 and General Manager in 2006. He became COO of Morris Network, Inc. in 2014, overseeing operations at WXXV-TV and five other stations. Under his leadership, the broadcast division grew through innovative initiatives. A Mississippi State University graduate, Bobby lived in West Point, Mississippi, and is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, a son, and two grandchildren. Morris Multimedia operates numerous media outlets across the U.S.
