SUMMARY: A man’s life was saved by house painter Joshua Schaefer in Franklin when he noticed smoke from a burning two-story home. Schaefer saw the homeowner inside, seemingly disoriented, and rushed in to help, supported by neighbors who forced open the door to pull him out. The fire, believed to have started accidentally at the back of the house, was aggressive, causing explosions that shattered windows. Firefighters arrived quickly but the flames took over an hour to control. While the homeowner was safe, their dog remains missing.
