SUMMARY: A low pressure system over the Gulf of Mexico is causing heavy rainfall in the tropics, expected to last another four hours before improving. However, another similar tropical outlook foreshadows potential flash floods from Tuesday to Thursday next week, followed by a frontal system for the weekend. The National Hurricane Center has noted this system’s medium chance of development, which may bring additional moisture but not significant impacts. Overall, there is a strong upper high aiding in steering patterns, ensuring conditions remain manageable. Rain chances will be low at around 20% tomorrow.

The NHC is also watching a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea. It has a low chance of becoming a depression the next few days as it moves into the western Caribbean.

Rep. Tony Bacala noted most districts can manage these increases, though nine may struggle. Amendments ensure any surplus funds are allocated for additional personnel raises or essential program support. Concerns were raised about the removal of the Quality Education Support Fund, impacting early childhood education.
