Saturday 10pm Tropical Update: Development in Western Caribbean to drift to Gulf of Mexico
SUMMARY: The tropics are being monitored as tropical moisture is expected to return to the Gulf of Mexico. Currently, systems Joyce and Isaac, along with invest 90, are located in the Atlantic and pose no threat. However, the National Hurricane Center has identified a 50% chance of tropical development in the Western Caribbean, possibly drifting into the southern Gulf by late next week. Although global models show little activity through the weekend, monitoring will intensify Wednesday. Development may depend on upper steering currents and a potential cold front. The next storm names are Kirk and Leslie, with updates to follow.
Meteorologist Alexa Triscler says a tropical development has a 50 percent chance of developing. It will drift into the southern Gulf of Mexico late next week.

Jefferson Parish lead water pipe problems – how to protect your health
SUMMARY: Residents of Jefferson Parish recently received concerning letters from the water department, indicating their water service lines may contain lead. While the letter does not confirm the presence of lead, the parish is implementing a project mandated by the EPA to identify and address lead pipes. Chronic lead exposure poses serious health risks, especially for children and pregnant women. To check your pipes, use a magnet and penny; if the penny scratches easily and the magnet doesn’t stick, it may be lead. It’s advisable to use lead-specific filters for drinking water until further assessments are conducted.

Tracking possible severe storms and flooding
SUMMARY: Severe weather is expected in the area tonight, particularly from 10 PM to 2 AM, with potential for severe storms and flooding. Current conditions show light rain with pockets of moderate downpours, while the threat of tornadoes exists under active watches. The humidity remains high, contributing to severe weather danger. Tomorrow morning’s flooding risk could lead to several inches of rain, with advisories in effect until noon. While temperatures remain in the 70s and 80s, a significant temperature drop and the possibility of frost will occur by midweek, shifting to lower 60s by Thursday and Friday.

San Antonio International Airport first in US to unveil new parking technology
SUMMARY: San Antonio International Airport has introduced advanced parking technology, becoming the first airport in the nation to implement such innovations ahead of a busy Thanksgiving travel season. Developed by Metropolis, the system allows travelers to park without traditional check-in or check-out processes, using license plate recognition for seamless entry and exit. Travelers can enroll their vehicles online, receiving notifications upon arrival. Additionally, an innovative bag check service is available in the parking garage, enabling passengers to drop off luggage before heading to the terminal. This service is available for select airlines and requires passengers to arrive two hours before their flights.
San Antonio International Airport passengers will now be able to experience expedited check-in services, reserve parking spots, park using a QR code and check bags at the tunnel to bypass airline ticket counters.
