Santa Fe ISD still discussing whether DOJ probe of mass shooting will move forward
SUMMARY: Despite support from local, state, and federal lawmakers, the U.S. Department of Justice’s ability to investigate the police response to the 2018 Santa Fe High School mass shooting remains uncertain. Families of victims are seeking a critical incident review, similar to the one conducted after the Uvalde shooting, rather than a criminal investigation. This probe’s success hinges on the Santa Fe school district’s cooperation, which has been elusive. Families desire clarity on the police’s actions during the incident. Meanwhile, the school board is communicating with the DOJ, but no decision timeline has been established.
Four months after the US Department of Justice was asked to conduct a critical incident review of the May 18, 2018 mass shooting at Santa Fe High School, school officials said they are still determining the “best course of action.” A DOJ critical incident review is not a criminal probe and requires the cooperation of all parties involved. KPRC 2 Investigates has learned whether this probe moves forward is largely dependent on Santa Fe ISD’s cooperation.

Humidity gradually returns, feeling more like spring in the days ahead ~ Mia
SUMMARY: After a chilly start, temperatures in San Antonio will reach the upper 60s with mostly cloudy skies and returning humidity. Expect a high of 67°F with winds from the southeast at 5-10 mph. Mother makes desperate plea after AMBER Alert issued for missing Katy teen
SUMMARY: The family of missing 15-year-old Alexa Jones from Katy, Texas, is urgently seeking help after she disappeared over a week ago. An Amber Alert was issued after Alexa was last seen on December 13 around midnight. Her mother emotionally described the family’s distress, recalling a happy movie night before Alexa went missing. Punishing rushing attack leads Texas to berth in Peach Bowl with 38-24 win over Clemson
