Russ Bourget's dream of helping unhoused people is coming true
SUMMARY: Twelve-year-old Russ Bourg tragically lost his life in a UTV accident, but his legacy continues to shine in Scott County. Instead of flowers, his family requested donations for the Amen House in Georgetown. Before his passing, Bourg set a goal to raise $5,000 for homeless outreach; his friends and family have since raised over $113,000. Known for his thoughtfulness and generosity, Bourg’s vision will guide future initiatives to honor his memory. The Amen House executive director, Michelle Carlile, expressed the profound impact of these contributions, which can be made on the Amen House website.

Louisville comes out on top with 49-14 victory over Jacksonville State

Chilly tonight, Pleasant on Sunday

Laurel County I-75 shooting: Person of interest identified, 'numerous' people shot
SUMMARY: Police are searching for Joseph A. Couch, a person of interest in a shooting incident on I-75 in Laurel County. Several individuals were injured, though not all sustained gunshot wounds. The area remains tense, with I-75’s north and southbound lanes reopened, while US-25 is still closed. The LCSO posted on Facebook around 6:40 p.m. Saturday that I-75 has been closed in both directions at Exit 49 U.S. 25.
