Rules for the upcoming presidential debate between Trump, Harris
SUMMARY: Next month’s debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will have no audience, live microphones when the candidates aren’t speaking, or written notes, as outlined by ABC News. The debate, set for September 10, could be the only chance for voters to see the candidates face off before the November election. Harris’s campaign is still negotiating the microphone rules, advocating for live mics to facilitate substantive exchanges. Both candidates will stand behind lecterns without opening statements or notes for the 90-minute debate moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
