Cannabis cultivator celebrates Alabama licensing ruling
SUMMARY: A recent ruling has lifted a restraining order that halted Alabama’s medical cannabis licensing process. This ruling came after a court determined a local judge lacked jurisdiction, allowing licensed cultivators like Antoine Mauroy Tolkin to move forward. For four years since the legalization of medical marijuana, cultivators faced challenges in supplying their products. Tolkin, who produced his first crop last summer, expressed his excitement over the ruling, stating it brings much-needed relief. Commission Director John McMillan is hopeful that this development will enable the licensing process to continue, allowing cultivators to provide medical relief to patients throughout the state.
