River Avenue Bridge project coming to an end
SUMMARY: The Forest County Board of Supervisors announced that the River Avenue Bridge Project, connecting Hattiesburg to Pedal, is nearing completion. Recent contractor activities included preparing sod, adjusting traffic signals on Carterville Road, grading shoulders on Dawson Cut Off, installing grass, and removing detour signs, primarily on the Pedal side of the bridge. This week, crews will concentrate on installing pavement markings, permanent signage, and riprap along the riverbank to finalize the project.

World War II veteran celebrates 100th birthday
SUMMARY: The Sandersville Community came together to celebrate Albert McLaren’s 100th birthday, honoring a beloved retired postmaster and World War II veteran.
