Ripley man faces 8 attempted murder charges for shooting at people during car chase
SUMMARY: A man from Ripley, Mississippi is facing multiple charges, including eight counts of attempted murder, after a series of incidents in Tippah County. The man was involved in a car crash and then allegedly threatened a volunteer firefighter and the firefighter’s wife at gunpoint. He then stole the firefighter’s vehicle and fired shots at two vehicles that were chasing him. The man, who was allegedly driving under the influence, crashed again and fired shots at the other vehicle involved in the accident. He was eventually taken into custody and is also facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, DUI, assault on an officer, and carjacking.
