Repeat Nettleton sex offender charged with possessing child pornography
SUMMARY: Nettleton man, 49-year-old Clyde Lee Hall, has been sentenced to over 13 years (162 months) in jail for possessing child pornography, followed by 10 years of supervised release. Originally apprehended for failing to register as a sex offender, a cyber tip led to the discovery of over 180 videos in his Google account depicting the sexual abuse of children under 12. His prior conviction for similar offenses resulted in harsher penalties. U.S. Attorney Clay Joyner pledged to ensure that child victimizers face justice, while the U.S. Marshals Service and the FBI were acknowledged for their investigative efforts. Assistant U.S. Attorney Parker S. King was the prosecutor of the case.
