Remembering Abria – Home – WCBI TV
SUMMARY: In Lowndes County, Mississippi, family, friends, and classmates gathered to honor Abria Harris, a New Hope High School student tragically shot and killed on Saturday. The group released hundreds of pink balloons, reflecting her favorite color, in her memory. Dietrix Cunningham, aged 20, has been charged with her murder and remains in jail without bond. Earlier in the week, students took part in a prayer service, and counselors and ministers were made available to support them during this difficult time. The community is coming together to remember Abria and cope with this loss.

How Isaac Smith became MSUโs top defender
SUMMARY: Isaac Smith, a safety for Mississippi State, emerged as a football standout at Itawamba Agricultural High School, attracting Division I offers. Coming from an athletic family, with his father playing at Ole Miss, Isaac’s first offer also came from there. However, he felt a strong connection with Mississippi State and its late coach Mike Leach, who he admired for his kindness, including attending a game when Isaac wasn’t playing. Following Leach’s unexpected passing, Isaac sought guidance through prayer and ultimately chose Mississippi State, feeling called to be there. Today, he remains committed, regardless of coaching changes.
