Reeves, Presley campaign ahead of General Election
SUMMARY: Incumbent Governor Tate Reeves and Democratic challenger Brandon Presley are making a final push in their campaigns ahead of the Mississippi General Election. Presley accused Reeves of wanting to suppress voter turnout in counties with a large Black population, while Reeves urged voters to exercise their right to vote and touted the success of Mississippi under his leadership. Both candidates are confident in a high voter turnout. The possibility of a runoff remains, with Independent candidate Gwendolyn Gray dropping out of the race, potentially affecting the votes for Reeves and Presley. The election is set to take place on November 7.

9-year-old gets support from officer after stun gun incident
SUMMARY: WREG is seeking records and bodycam footage of an incident in Southaven, Mississippi, where a police officer allegedly pointed a stun gun at 9-year-old Ahmar Anderson on Nov. 7. The officer mistook him for a robbery suspect, but Ahmar was wearing a purple and white letterman jacket, not matching the description.
