The Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art Gala Returns in Style at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino
SUMMARY: The Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art’s gala returns after a decade, celebrating its 25th anniversary with “5 Senses of Ohr” at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino on April 26 from 7-10 PM. Knowing the snake’s determination, the outcome was clear: the amphiuma would soon be swallowed whole despite its ability to deliver a painful bite. Water snakes are equipped with flexible jaws to consume large prey. This encounter highlighted the amphiuma’s rarity, as they are nocturnal and primarily inhabit burrows. Both species sit at the top of their local aquatic food chains, with water snakes able to tackle larger prey than the amphibians. Sharon’s documentation enriches understanding of these creatures.
