Rebuild Moss Point Fund to help with unmet needs

SUMMARY: A long-term Recovery Fund has been established in Moss Point to aid in the recovery efforts. The fund, administered through the United Way, is called the rebuild Moss Point fund. It is a 501c3 organization, and it is being set up at Merchants and Marine Bank. The fund will help with the unmet needs in the recovery process, particularly in the casework phase. Over 400 homes have been impacted, and this fund will assist in meeting needs not covered by insurance or state and federal agencies. Various local industries and banks have already made contributions to the fund. The initial needs for food, clothing, and cleaning supplies have been met, and now the rebuild fund will support the next phase of recovery.
