Rankin County deputies seize 44 pounds of meth during traffic stop

SUMMARY: A Texas man, Arnol Zamora, was arrested in Rankin County after law enforcement discovered 44 pounds of methamphetamine in his truck during a traffic stop on Interstate 20. Following a deputy’s suspicion of drug trafficking, a police K-9 named “Voodoo” alerted officers to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Upon investigation, authorities found a cardboard box in the rear passenger area containing the meth. Zamora has since been charged with aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance and is currently held in the Rankin County Jail.

Human remains found in Carroll County confirmed to be those of missing Ole Miss student Jimmie ‘Jay’ Lee
