SUMMARY: Hinds County Circuit Court Judge Faye Peterson has paused a ballot review requested by incumbent Central District Public Service Commissioner Brent Bailey, following a close loss to Democratic challenger De’Keither Stamps. Stamps filed an injunction to delay the review, claiming he wasn’t given the mandatory 3 days notice before it took place. The judge granted the suspension, stating that election day materials had already been reviewed by a Bailey representative. Commissioner-Elect De’Keither Stamps expressed disappointment, citing state law that requires three days notice for such proceedings. The ballot review has been suspended until Monday, November 27th. 12 News will have more on this story at 5 and 6 o’clock.
