Prosecutor claims Big Jook put out $100K hit on Young Dolph
SUMMARY: Rapper Young Dolph was tragically killed at the age of 36, prompting significant legal proceedings. Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith are identified as the alleged shooters, with strong evidence against them as the trial begins. Assistant DA Paul Hagerman revealed that Dolph’s brother had allegedly put a $100,000 hit on him before meeting with the suspects. During his opening statement, Shelby County Assistant District Attorney Paul Hagerman said that Big Jook, the brother of famed Memphis rapper Yo Gotti and part of Gotti, put out a “hit” on Young Dolph, promising $100,000 to whoever killed Young Dolph who famously had animosity with CMG.

SUMMARY: Investigators from Tennessee are testifying against Bruce Mendenhall, a truck stop serial killer on trial for murder in Indianapolis. Retired Nashville Metro Police Sergeant Pat Postiglione described encountering Mendenhall at a truck stop in 2007 while investigating a murder. Postiglione noticed the truck’s yellow color and linked it to a previous case. During the search, police found blood-stained evidence, including women’s clothing, a debit card, and a phone belonging to the victim. Mendenhall, convicted of two murders in Tennessee, faces more charges in Alabama. The trial is nearing its conclusion with additional testimonies.
One of the witnesses called to the stand was the Metro police sergeant who caught the suspect at a Nashville truck stop 17 years ago.

‘Safe Stays’ app creates ease finding shelter, hotels for domestic violence victims

Tennessee residents, National Guard to play role in Trump inauguration
SUMMARY: Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States on Monday, with many Tennesseans present in Washington, D.C. About 150 soldiers from the Tennessee National Guard traveled to support security during the event. Maj. Gen. Warner Ross expressed pride in the Guardsmen’s participation in this historic moment.
