Presley pitches to Black voters, Reeves campaigns in Pearl
SUMMARY: With less than 50 days until the General Election in Mississippi, the candidates for governor are actively campaigning across the state. Democratic candidate Brandon Presley visited Jackson State University on National Voter Registration Day, urging young voters to register and seeking support from the Black community. He emphasized the importance of including and uplifting the Black population, which makes up nearly 40% of the state. Presley challenged his opponent, Governor Tate Reeves, to five debates, accusing him of avoiding the opportunity. The Reeves campaign responded by stating that the governor is looking forward to debating and calling out Presley's lies.
