Presidential race is top of mind at Neshoba County Fair
SUMMARY: The Neshoba County Fair, a major political event in Mississippi, is focused on the upcoming presidential election, with just three months left. Governor Tate Reeves supports Donald Trump, arguing voters should send him back to the White House, while Mississippi Democratic Party Chairman Shake Taylor counters that the economy is improving, contrary to claims about Biden’s failures. Controversial remarks by Trump regarding Kamala Harris’s racial identity also sparked debate, with critics labeling them racist. Despite excitement around Harris, Republicans believe the historical trend of Democrats losing in Mississippi since 1976 will continue. Reports come from Ross Adams at the fair.
