SUMMARY: With less than three weeks until Election Day, presidential candidates are campaigning in key swing states to influence undecided voters as early voting begins. Former President Trump held a rally in Georgia, urging high voter turnout and addressing criticism over his trade tariffs and comments on the January 6th insurrection. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris focused on supporting Black voters in Michigan, asserting her commitment beyond election tactics. A judge in Georgia recently blocked a new rule requiring hand-counting of ballots after polls closed, deeming it impractical so close to the election. Early voting is seeing significant participation.

We’re now less than 3 weeks from Election Day.

SUMMARY: Out of the 11 named storms this season, 11 have become hurricanes, but Tropical Storm Sara is not expected to strengthen much further. It will mainly bring heavy rain to Central America, particularly Honduras, and then move toward Belize and the Yucatan. Due to its proximity to land, further intensification is unlikely, though a brief window for strengthening exists if it moves away from the coast. The storm is expected to dissipate by Sunday, with no Gulf of Mexico impact, though its remnants may affect forecasts later next week.

Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says Tropical Storm Sara likely to dissipate this weekend on Sunday as it starts to move into the Yucatán.
