Preparations for Election Day in Madison County | Oct. 25, 2024 | News 19 at 10 p.m.
SUMMARY: With just 11 days until the election on November 5th, local officials are rallying voters in Madison County to prepare for higher turnout, especially with the presidential race on the ballot. Madison County Probate Judge Frank Barger emphasizes the need for voters to plan ahead, confirm polling locations, and educate themselves on all candidates, not just top-ticket races. Despite low turnout in recent elections, over 330,000 registered voters are expected to participate, with 80 polling locations available. Key deadlines include applying for absentee ballots: by mail on Tuesday, in-person by Halloween, and hand delivery by November 4th.
The clock is ticking and days are numbered for voters to prepare for November 5. Only 11 days stand between today and Election Day.
