Prep notebook: Super 7 Poll; Burdine in at St. Patrick and two passing grades
SUMMARY: The Super 7 in the Southern Six poll for Week 2 has been revealed. The rankings include teams from all seven classifications. For this week, the top seven teams are: 1. Picayune, 2. Gulfport, 3. Pascagoula, 4. Ocean Springs, 5. Biloxi, 6. Hancock, and 7. Vancleave. Other teams receiving votes include George County, Resurrection, Harrison Central, Pass Christian, and St. Stanislaus. St. Patrick Catholic High School has announced that Kevin Burdine will be the new head coach for their varsity baseball team. Burdine brings decades of coaching experience to the position. West Harrison narrowly defeated Greene County in a thrilling game, with standout performances from Coby King and Jordan Stapleton.
