Prep football Preview 2023: Stone looks to continue recent success but under different circumstances
SUMMARY: Stone High’s football team had a successful season last year, going 9-3 and winning the Region 8-4A title. However, there are changes in store for the upcoming season. Jacob Aycock has been named the new head coach, replacing John Feaster who left for Moss Point High. Stone High has also moved up to Class 5A and will compete in a new league, Region 8-5A. Aycock previously served as the defensive coordinator for Poplarville, where he guided a strong defensive unit. The season kicks off on August 25th against Biloxi.
