Powerball jackpot climbs to $725 million after no winner chosen
SUMMARY: The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $725 million for the next drawing on July 12 after no ticket matched all six numbers in the previous drawing. Two tickets, sold in California and Iowa, matched all five white balls and won $1 million and $2 million respectively with the Power Play feature. The current jackpot has been growing since mid-April and is the seventh-largest in game history. Powerball is played in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning any prize in Powerball are about one in 24.9.
