SUMMARY: Potential candidates are being discussed to replace Nick Saban as head coach of Alabama football. Kirby Smart, Dabo Swinney, and Lane Kiffin are some big names considered for the position. Smart has defeated Saban head to head and won national titles at UGA, Swinney has also beaten Saban and has expressed interest in returning to Alabama, and Kiffin, a former assistant of Saban’s, is considered one of the best coaches in the game. However, Kiffin just signed an extension with Ole Miss. The challenge remains for Alabama as they seek to find a successor for the legendary coach.

Nick Saban is reportedly calling it career in Alabama after 17 seasons and 7 national championships as a head coach. After news broke of his pending retirement names from all over were brought as possible replacement for who is considered the greatest college football coach of all time. Some popular names are Oregon’s Dan Lanning, UGA head coach Kirby Smart, Clemon’s Dabo Swinney and Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.

The collaborative event was presented by Spacey’s Rock and Roll Tattoo, the Aces, the Pretzel Company, and Downtown Meridian, and featured free entertainment from 5 to 9 PM. Community members supported the cause by donating and enjoying food from local vendors. Roy Fiser, a Lieutenant and Corps Officer for the Salvation Army, emphasized the concert’s significance for disaster recovery, particularly for severely affected areas like Asheville and Chimney Rock. All donations will assist the Salvation Army in recovery efforts.

On Thursday, Local businesses hosted a benefit concert to support the long-term recovery efforts after Hurricane Helene in the Carolinas.
