SUMMARY: The Joiner Splash Pad in Tupelo is set to reopen this weekend just in time for summer after being closed for repairs. The park was closed last summer after lightning struck it. The City Park and recreational crews have been working on repairs to ensure the splash pad is safe for visitors. The pad will be open only on weekends leading up to Memorial Day, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and will then switch to daily hours. Residents are excited for the return of the splash pad and are looking forward to enjoying summer fun at the park.
