Poore addresses plans for Madison County Schools

SUMMARY: Ted Poore has been selected to serve as the next superintendent of Madison County Schools after Superintendent Charlotte Seals’ retirement. With 40 years of experience in education, including 26 years in Madison County Schools, Poore plans to address teacher shortages, maintain excellence, and enforce safety. The district has an “A” rating and employs literacy and math specialists to work with teachers. Student safety is a top priority, with a security coordinator and officers at all schools. Poore will begin his new position on July 1, 2024.
