Polls show Stein leading, Robinson remains confident | North Carolina
SUMMARY: As Election Day approaches, North Carolina gubernatorial candidates Mark Robinson and Josh Stein are making final appeals to voters. Recent polls show Stein, the Democratic attorney general, leading Robinson, the Republican lieutenant governor, by an average of 15%. The race has been contentious, with Robinson challenging a CNN report through a lawsuit, claiming it harmed his campaign. Both candidates are exchanging personal attacks, with Robinson critiquing Stein’s political career and Stein labeling Robinson as “unfit.” Stein claims young voters are energized, while forecasts give him a 98% chance of winning, an indication of shifting political trends in the state.
