Another arctic blast is heading to Arkansas | What to know

Published

on

www.youtube.com – THV11 – 2025-01-14 15:33:59

SUMMARY: After last week’s snowstorm, many in central Arkansas are returning to work and school. Areas remain icy, especially in untreated neighborhoods. A cold front on Tuesday will lower temperatures to the 40s, aiding thawing, while warmer temperatures later in the week may reach the upper 50s or near 60°F, helping further melt the snow. However, an Arctic blast is expected by Saturday, plunging temperatures into the teens by Sunday. While there’s low confidence for additional winter weather, the cold poses risks for freezing pipes, necessitating precautions like insulation and dripping faucets starting Saturday evening.

Arkansas is still thawing out from a recent snowstorm, but the THV11 Weather Impact Team has turned its attention to the next arctic blast. Here’s the latest.
