BJC Employees upset after car break-ins
SUMMARY: BJC HealthCare employees are increasingly concerned about car break-ins at hospital parking garages, following multiple incidents at Parkview Tower and Euclid Garage. Many workers feel unsafe, prompting some to consider quitting, especially after over 60 cars were targeted in January. Despite receiving a notification about ongoing break-ins, employees doubt BJC’s commitment to safety, reporting insufficient security measures. They desire 24/7 security personnel at garage entrances. Police are investigating the break-ins, which predominantly target firearms, while BJC states that security patrols are in place. However, employees want to see tangible improvements to feel secure again.

Contact 2 helps Jefferson County family get refund for broken refrigerator
SUMMARY: A Jefferson County family experienced significant frustration with a refrigerator they purchased from Lowe’s in February 2024, which malfunctioned immediately upon setup. Angela Newindo reported that while the fridge and freezer operated, the control panel was broken, preventing any adjustments. Despite multiple repair appointments with Frigidaire that were canceled without notice, the family sought assistance from the news outlet, Contact. Following intervention, Electrolux, Frigidaire’s parent company, promised to resolve the issue, and Lowe’s ultimately agreed to refund Angela for the defective refrigerator. She has since purchased a new appliance from a local store and is satisfied.

“It sounds petty, but when you buy a refrigerator, you expect it to work right,” Angela Neuendorf said.
Neuendorf says the refrigerator she and her husband bought in February 2024 at the Lowe’s store in Festus has been a problem since day one. FOX 2’s Mike Colombo reports.
